Soy Conclave has become the much awaited annual event for the Soy Sector, after two consecutive and highly successful Conclaves organised by The Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) in 2017 and 2018. The third International Soy Conclave will be organised by SOPA on 9th and 10th October, 2019 at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore. The Soy Conclave provides a platform for knowledge sharing, learning and networking. The gala dinner mixed with the entertainment programme on 9th October, 2019 will be an opportunity to relax and enjoy, amid serious discussions and presentations during the day. Over 600 delegates from India and abroad, representing trade and industry, scientists, technologists, farmers and experts in Soy and commodity business will participate in the Soy Conclave.
The Soy Sector has come a long way in the last 40 years and has seen many ups and downs as well as turbulent times. The industry needs to work with reasonable profits on a sustainable basis and the farmers must get a remunerative return for their produce. The theme of this year’s Conclave, therefore, is “PROFIT PLUS 2019”. The unprecedented and path breaking policy changes including the increase in customs duty on edible oils to support Indian soy sector has brought us to the threshold of next jump into an era of a thriving and profitable business. We will focus on “REALIZE. OBSERVE. INNOVATE.” reflecting our mission of working together for the benefit of all. The profile of participants in the Soy Conclave will give an opportunity to every delegate to profit through networking and developing business relations with the participants from all over the world. It will also give a platform to showcase and market products and services.
For the soy processors and intermediaries, there will be an opportunity to do real business as leaders in the poultry and feed industry will attend the event and they will be looking for finalising contracts for soybean meal.
A major highlight of this year’s Conclave will be a full session on technology in the soy sector which will include presentations and interactive sessions by experts on latest technologies and developments in soy oil refining, value addition and solvent extraction. The panel discussions and price outlook session will be star attraction of the programme, in addition to the most authentic soybean crop estimates based on an extensive crop survey undertaken by SOPA.
